The ultimate car racing simulator?
Costing a mere $20,000, VirtualGT could well be the ultimate racing simulator for the sim fan who has everything!

VirtualGT is the world’s first and only super-realistic auto racing simulator designed for race training and home entertainment. VirtualGT is, quite simply, the world’s finest auto racing simulator. Pro racers tell us VirtualGT is the closest you can get to the real thing.
VirtualGT Pro-PC includes a Shuttle XPC high performance gaming computer with 3 removable hard drives and a library of the world’s best race simulation software, including GTR.
If you’re lucky enough to have tried one, or bought one (!), I’d love to here what you think.

Train Simulator 2 updates
Microsoft have updated their Train Simulator 2 site, copying much of the structure from their Flight Simulator X web site. They’ve also included a few more screenshots. It’s shaping up to look pretty good.

One thing that I’m sure will appeal to fans is the statement “Train Simulator 2 will model almost all of the world’s railways using sophisticated processing techniques and real-world track data.” At last, near whole word data.

Race 2007 discounted in PC World
I picked up a copy of Race 2007 form PC World for only £19.99 yesterday. I’m surprised, but pleased, that they’re discounting this title already.

SimBin really do make superb car racing sims. I’d already purchased Grand Prix Legends, GTR and GTR2 and they’ve all been thoroughly enjoyable.
I’ve only just installed Race 2007 and had a quick time trial, but the graphics exceed even SimBin’s previously fantastic efforts.
If you’re not sure whether it’s for you or not, you can download a demo from their site.
Update: I’ve now had a chance to try it out, and this is SimBin’s greatest creation yet. The superb level of twitchiness and handling and the incredible impression of speed, especially in Formula 3000, is second to none.
