Full Swing Golf

by WorldOfSimulation on February 17, 2008

You’d need to be seriously addicted to Golf for this one (or have more money than you know what to do with!). $55,000 will buy you what must be the ultimate home golf system from Full Swing Golf.

The system comes complete with 50 courses, which should keep you busy for a while, in addition to a full training mode. It uses 688 sensors to track the ball flight accurately (what happens if a fly whizzes through one of the sensors?).

You’ll need a fair amount of free space in your home, as the unit measures 20 x 13 x 15.5 feet, but I’m guessing that if you can afford one of these, you’ve probably got a reasonably sized house :)

Practice your golf indoors with the Dancin’ Dogg

by WorldOfSimulation on February 4, 2008

GolfElectronics has put together a hardware solution enabling you to practice golf indoors. It goes by the name of Dancin’ Dogg (weird name – see the web site for the history behind it).

Hit real balls or the included foam balls, or no balls at all!  There are no ball tethers or iron modifications required (woods and hybrids require taping — taping kit included). Balls can be struck directly off the turf or off the included tees.

Works with EA Sports Tiger Woods PGA Tour ‘05, ‘06, ‘07 (included), and now ‘08.
